Not sure what you mean...what space did you lose? The control panel is the same size as the non-Compass connect control panels and the Unity control module is buried in a location that wouldn't make any useful storage space (at least on the 2250RK).

This is where mine is. In the entry way cabinet. They took about 2/3 of the cabinet and mounted the module then covered it with a panel rendering that space useful for a few hats
You can see this space on older model 2400 and 2800 units

I am going to unscrew it and push it up flush with the ceiling and re attach it. Hopefully

Well that is lame....have you tried to see how much slack is in the wire bundle going into the roof? you may have enough to slide it back 6"to a foot or more. Another option would be to unscrew the frame from the exterior wall and flip it up so that it sits almost flush with the ceiling and reattach it....this would free up all of the space beneath it....What is on the other side of the interior wall on the left in your picture? Do you have access to that space from that side?

Yea that is what I am hoping to do is place it up flush with the ceiling. Tons of lose wire there and as you can see it all exits from that hole in the ceiling
Hopefully there isn’t an issue in how it sits. Can’t imagine

It sounds like it shouldn't be too difficult to raise it up as long as you can get your arms in there far enough to reach! Be sure to post pics if you decide to tackle this project....I am sure many others would love to do this too but want to see someone else do it first.

Not the best but it is out of the way. The issue is I had to do it all with one hand. Took some doing getting the 2 plus feet of 20 plus wires to behave

I'd say that turned out great, specially for one handed. It should have been like that out of the production line. Now you've gained a little more storage.
