GD Solar Option + generator - Lithium batteries?

So question on those that have the GD Solar Option & the Onan Generator... can you swap to Lithium batteries with the existing equipment? If not... which pieces will need to be replaced to swap out the flooded to Lithium batteries?

Technically, you dont NEED to change anything. You should switch the converter to one designed for lithium. If changing charging capacity of the converter, you should ensure the wiring is the correct size. When I did my swap on my 399, I also redid the wiring for the converter since I didnt like how GD ran the wires.

I'm adding a lithium battery and I will not be immediately upgrading the factory converter. It will charge the lithium batteries, but not all the way to full charge, maybe only halfway. I will rely on the solar panel taking them all the way to full, because the factory MPPT solar charge controller *does* support lithium. Eventually I'll either upgrade the convert to a progressive dynamics one, or delete it altogether and use a inverter/charger.

I am thinking of doing this same set up, how did it work? I am upgrading the batteries, and going to add solar to top off the charge when the factory converter can't keep up.
