    TPMS / Ford Truck

Has anyone set up their trailer TPMS through their Ford truck and, if so, is it just a process of installing the correct sensors in the TT wheels and then pairing to the system?

This might not apply to your truck since it's different than mine. After doing a bit of research on the Ford onboard TPMS, I decided to buy a TST TMPS system and not even use the Ford one. The biggest difference is my truck doesn't support factory TPMS for it's own tires & I wanted to be able to monitor *all* of my tires.

I've been very happy with the TST unit. Just something to consider ..

Thanks for the reply. I've considered the Lippert TPMS system since my 2500RL is prepped for it. However I thought if I could integrate it with my on board system I wouldn't need to keep an eye on my cell phone. After a few hours of research it appears that the Ford Trailer Tire Pressure Monitoring System kit may only be available for the Super Duty trucks.

I install the Ford TPMS on my trailer and 2020 F350. I had to get the wiring and wireless module and sensors. It came together in a kit. Directions are included in the kit and it steps you thru the process. I also watched a YouTube video on how to set it up.

Yeah, I tracked down the part number from the YouTube video and sources say that it's not compatible with my F-150. All the videos I was able to find on that kit referenced the F250 or F350 Super Duty trucks.

No. I ended up with the TST. I got the one with the air through sensors so I wouldn't have to remove them to air up the tires. You can check them out at TSTTruck.com

Funny thing is I now have an F350!! Ordered it last Nov. 13 and picked it up on June 13. I'll still use the TST unit I bought because it seems to work very well.
