Switch to turn off outside leveling control.

Trying to figure out how to put a switch in to shut off the outside auto leveling controller. Has anyone done or attempted doing this.

This is the controller I'm referring to.

I plan on doing the same. Was just going to get a DC switch and tap into the power going to that pad and either mount the switch in the front basement or the inside basement wall near the water hookup area.

Why would you want to turn it off? Accidental adjustment?

A few reasons. Kids messing with it, one of ours is 3 who loves buttons. With the landing gear switch on the outside, it makes it extremely easy to steal the trailer, prevent anyone messing with the leveling at a campsite(not everyone is nice or can be trusted not to mess with it).

Locking a cabinet door would help with this?

Only kid we have is the wife, so I’m good there.

The issue is GD recently started putting this controller on the front of the 5th wheel, on the outside. There is no door to lock.

Every time we need to level our coach, I am thankful that our controls are mounted inside our locked basement, AND, that the controls are mounted on a hinged door that swings open to allow easy access to, and reading of, the controls.

That's how my 399 was, and I liked it. I mainly use the One Control app for leveling except for pressing auto level or disconnecting from the truck. I just want to prevent other people from being able to control my landing gear; i guess GD didnt consider this when moving the controller location.
