Exclamation New member looking for help with pump issues

Hello! I just found this group in an attempt to help my DH troubleshoot our 2018 Reflection 312BHTS. We just got it back from an annual inspection from a GD approved shop and we are supposed to leave for our first camping trip Sunday. DH went to do the end of winter flush and fill and discovered that the pump is not functioning correctly. It just sputters and runs continuously without getting a normal flow to the faucets. He gave it plenty of time to bleed the air out of the lines. He hooked up to the city water and everything worked fine. I saw another thread on here from someone with a cracked pump casing and it sounded pretty similar. Hoping we can get our hands on a new filter quickly if that is indeed the problem. Has anyone else dealt with this problem? Really hoping this does not derail our first trip out as COVID really did a number on our plans last year.

May seem simple, but have you checked to make sure there's plenty of fresh water in the tank?

A pump is quick to replace, and normally in-stock in several models at any RV dealer. They're not brand-specific.

    Welcome aboard! Glad you're here.

It takes a lonnnnggggg time to fill the water heater. My first guess is there may still be air in the line. Then the valve position.

FYI... the two spare items to carry with you. 1. Water pump 2. Converter. Both of these parts are easy to change and can ruin a camping trip if they go bad.

We spent two hours last year rebuilding my nieces water pump. I had the tools and beer and advise, Her dad and uncle did the work (well her dad did, my other brother in law gave advise too. The pump was full of the leavings from drilling the holes for the diaphragms. Having a spare would have taken about 1.6 hours less to do but we could not have had the jabs at each other, nor the same amount of beer (2)
