PC monitor mount on dining room table

So i'm a pc gamer. The largest screen you can get on a laptop is 17 inch. This is too small for my eyes so i ordered a cheap monitor mount from amazon and connected it to the table. It swings out of the way and the monitor detaches easily for transportation. The pc is in a pelican case under the table.

I know I'm not in a league like you but I do some auto racing games to pass the time. Why not use your TV? I replaced the TCL with a bit larger 43" Samsung LCD that will do 1080i. I use my laptop connected via HDMI to the TV.

Technical reason is that even at the size of that tv, the resolution will not be right to sit that far away from it. Also, TVs do not make very good computer monitors. If he is using a digital signal, he can get a much cleaner presentation with a monitor. I advise people all the time at work that they do not want to go with a TV simply because of distance from the TV. TVs are great for power point presentation, but they make terrible monitors.

    Great job on the mount!

Looks super; do you recall what mount you bought? Like the idea of the monitor "easily detaching" for driving. Cheers!
