Has anyone ever installed a ceiling fan in bedroom instead of second a/c unit?

In which RV? (You might consider creating a signature with that information so folks don't have to ask.) If it's a model with a bed slide, you might have issues with clearance when the slide is brought in. The other issue would be headroom.

I can't imagine it move much air since you need some clearance between the blades and the ceiling for circulation.

Or, you are extremely short and don't need much headroom.

You can get a powered fan put in the vent.
