Using Flex Paste for roof sealant
Everyone:
I thought I saw it in a prior thread, but couldn’t find it. What’s the thought of using Flex Paste (Sealant) for resealing around all the roof vents and can I place it over the old stuff.
Thanks

Why wouldn't you just use the sealant that is meant to be used on the roof?
Flex Paste is a generic sealant that may or may not stick to the roof memebrane.Steve- Inventory Manager at Tom Schaeffer's RV, Shoemakersville, PA www.tomschaeffers.com

Thank you for your response. The normal dicor with a caulking gun is what I usually use for cracks probably like most other people use. I thought with the flexseal is that it comes in a can where you can use a trowel and trowel over your cracks a little easier. That was my thought. Thanks

From what I have been reading, the Flex anything is pretty much garbage. I have no personal experience and won't ever as I will not even try it due to the mostly negative comments on their products. I would also be worried with any possible reaction with the recommended roof products.

I thought about it myself. Don't know how it would work though. If it did it would be easier to use - I think. A person would be able to make a smoother job - potentially. Maybe do a test in a small easy to access area. Have some eternabond available though...

Yes, I would go with Eternabond.
