    Morryde Power Cord Reel

I'm looking for something to store my 50A power cord. Does anyone have experience with either the power or manual version of these?

We have the power version in our 345GK. It’s brand new so I don’t have a lot of experience with it yet but, first impressions are great.

One of the power models came stock in our 2020 Solitude 310GK-R. I love it - it sure beats trying to manually wrestle that heavy 50-amp cord... especially on a cold morning.

Does your "Reverse" button work on yours Rob? I used ours for the first time when we broke camp to come home from wintering and realized the arrow facing outward, that doesn't work. I had to manually pull it off the reel to use the cord again.

If it is at all helpful to you, I installed the manual Lippert reel, which is the same design as the manual MORryde and goes on sale more often (lol). It works as intended with the heavy 50A cord. I crank with one hand while feeding/wiping with a rag with the other.

How well do these reels work in the winter or colder camping months? I know handling the 50A cord in the cold, it seems very stiff.

I went really cheap, only because I had this extra air hose reel and put it to good use.

Fine. You won't get as tight of a wrap in the cold, but that's why they're oversized for the length to be taken up.

Nice! I've got our 25' drinking water hose wrapped up on one of those (50-ft lives in a lidded bucket for those State park spigot locations).
