I’ve had both the manual and now powered morryde reels. Both work well. The powered one came with the Solitude. If it didn’t I would buy the manual one as it is cheaper, easier to install and worked very well.

Does your "Reverse" button work on yours Rob? I used ours for the first time when we broke camp to come home from wintering and realized the arrow facing outward, that doesn't work. I had to manually pull it off the reel to use the cord again.

Our Solitude came with the MorRyde power reel. It works well, cold weather included. It was centred in one of the basement access points so I moved it to the side so it's less in the way. I have to say I preferred the power reel in our previous Bighorn because the trailer end was hard wired, so I only needed to pull out as much cable as I needed. With the Solitude I have to pull the whole cable every time.

We have the manual reel. I works very well. Money well spent in my book.
That 50 amp cord was going to break my back. We used it last fall in very cool weather and I had no issues at all.

I placed mine right up against the Nautilus panel. Just 4 screws so I can easily remove it if I need to get into that panel.

I was thinking of getting one like that but was worried that it would be too flimsy for the power cord. Is yours holding up fairly well?
