    Question Winter storage in Flordia

Happy Monday everyone, for the last 4 winters we've stored our 344gk in the high country of Colorado. Snow and subzero temps have not been an issue. Our RV travels over the upcoming 2021 and 2022 summers is to hit the National Parks in the east and store the 5th wheel in Flordia from September to roughly mid May.

Any helpful storage tips in storing in a humid Flordia climate versus the cold dry climate of Colardo?

Thanks in advance for the helpful tips

If you have electric in storage, run a dehumidifier. We ran the drain through the side of the slide seal and it seemed to work well. We lucked out and were able to grab a covered storage spot with electric right near our house in Sarasota.

I guess you're storing the rig between October and March or April???? Knowing which months might be useful. For example....

If storing in summer months (as A LOT of people do) having covered storage would be high on my list. And so would humidity control (either powered or someone changing out humidity drip bags).

If storing in winter then maybe covered isn't so important. But maybe putting a cover over it will help keep things (decals) from fading. Still need humidity control but maybe not so much.

If you just need to store it and come back to pick it up to use it for the East coast then maybe a better state is a bit north of FL. If you want to avoid the possibility of freezing pipes/plumbing/icemakers/washers, etc.) then you have to at least get to central FL and further south.

    Two last thought...
    >> storage in FL in the winter is probably easier to find and less expensive then April to December'ish - when most snowbirds are gone.
    >> have you considered southern TX where maybe the humidity isn't so bad?
