2018 Solitude 310GK Frosted Glass Touch Up?

Hey folks the frosted glass on a couple of our cabinet doors has some scratches in the "frosting" on the inside that you can see from the outside.

Has anyone found a product to touch up these scratches that looks presentable? You could use some kind of white paint from the inside but it wouldn't match and would look obvious.

GD's glass frosting is sprayed on. You can get spray frosting for glass at arts and craft stores and Rustoleum even makes one. Do test an area as they may be a solvent to the existing spray on. Also, any repair will be obvious. It's just the nature of the beast, but you can probably get it presentable as you desire. Alternatively, you can scrape it all off and put a frosting film on yourself, which is very easy and inexpensive. You can also find a shop that does media blasting. They can remove the spray on while at the same time truly frosting the glass by abrasion, but it will cost more.

If the damaged area is small, you can follow @geotex1's advice. Then, a number of us have taken preventive measures and lined the inside of the glass with white foam board (like the project/poster board used for school projects) so it doesn't happen again. If you don't do something preventive, the damage will just recur.

Thanks for the info. The damaged areas are very small. Maybe a quarter of the size of a dime. I might try a product first to touch up.

We did this for the reasons mentioned. Only thing is I’m not too keen on the white color behind the glass. I was thinking of painting the foam board, maybe a beige or something- anyone try this?

We used black foam board from dollar tree on ours. Looks good.

Thank you for that suggestion! We tried that and it looks much better than the white.

We also used these to hold the foam in place (So the back of the doors, with the foam board on it, look like a picture frame, lol)

Those things worked perfectly. For the pantry door, it took two foam boards to cover it up.
