5th Wheel Bug Protection Cap Cover
I'm considering installing a bug protection cap cover on my 2017 Reflection 337RLS 5th wheel. Back in the December 2020 in the RV magazine there was an article on the "Bugg Banner" which sounded rather interesting. Cost is approximately $300 and doesn't look too difficult to install. In my travels, although limited in 2020 due to Covid, I have not seen any of these BUGG Banners on the road. So I am reaching out to the Grand Design forum to see if anyone has installed one of these and if so, what is their opinion of its effectiveness?

A couple of coats of polymer or acrylic wax on the cap is my bug protection. They come off easy when washing.

I do the same thing. Love bugs in SE Louisiana are terrible around Memorial Day and Labor Day.

I am looking at one too. We are expecting to get our Solitude 2930rl this month. I have been told that the front windshield on the 2930rl can look pretty bad after a few days of traveling.
This couple installed one on a Montana and do a pretty good job of explaining everything.
I think it would be worth your time to watch.

They WILL do more damage to your cap than good! If you don't like the bugs and waxing, consider Paint Protection Film.
