Nissan XD And 2800 Imagine Any one ?

so we still looking to upgrade from 2013 1500 Silverado to bigger truck ,we really want diesel but all we can find for our Budget (35000) is chevy or Ram 2500 with almost 100 k 2012 to 2014
we a bit scared, with so much mile on it on no warranty.we start looking at the XD we can get 2016 or 2017 with very low mile and full warranty. Any one out there have Experience with this truck ?
i hear some bad and some good on it ,i think its will do much better Towing then the 1500.
    Thanks

Yes. See my signature and what I pull. The truck has 23,000 miles on it and does a wonderful job pulling my 10,500 lb, 37' trailer. Would not hesitate to recommend it.

From all reviews I have read it is great truck for towing. Got Cummings engine and beefier rear end designed for heavier use. Check to see if there has been any recalls and if so make sure they have been addressed.
There have been rumors for years that Toyota Tundra may come out with Tundra with same Cummings engine.

Pulling a Reflection 150 Series 295RL with our 2016 Titan XD Pro-4X (Diesel) and have zero issues. Most of the time you dont know the trailer is even there. These trucks are great for pulling.

The XD does have different payload based on the trim package, motor, 2WD vs 4WD. You will have to look at the individual truck as they can differ based on side steps, hitch, etc. Nissan lists the range as 1594-2918 pounds. Mine is just over 1750.

Max tongue weight for the Titan (2018) is listed a little over 1200 pounds. The GD site lists the 2800 at 604 (add in a weight distribution hitch at about 100 pounds) and you should still have plenty of room for cargo in the trailer without exceeding the tow capacity of the truck.

I have the 2016, so here's the link to all the specs: http://nissannews.com/media_storage/...EV-4-25-16.pdf. I'm sure the other years are out there too.

paggy is correct: different trim packages have different payloads.

Careful with some of the Nissan dealers, they will advertise a Titan as an XD, but it will just be a regular Titan. It must say XD on the door. I'm also looking for a 16 or 17, but I'm thinking of going with the 5.6. Have one now and they have boosted it up to 390 hp now, way over the 300 hp on the old Titan.
