    Motorcycle Carrier

Any ideas on the type of motorcycle carrier I should use. I have a Yamaha TW 200 and would like to carry it behind my Reflection 320 MKS? Any Do's and Don't's

If your Reflection came with a factory installed, frame-mounted hitch receiver, it's rated for 300 lbs. max. Will your Yamaha and carrier weigh less than that?

This is what I used before I purchased my toy hauler. It connects with dual swivel hitch. You can back it up hooked to the trailer. Capacity 1200 lbs.

Did you use that in Georgia? Reason I ask is Florida Department of Transportation explained to me that this is counted as an additional trailer which is not allowed in Florida, Georgia or Alabama.

Here is what i did....fair warning...I'm not an engineer, just a backyard mechanic. So far the bike hasn't fallen off in about 1000 miles of highway & off road travels. I think it is stronger than just using the center receiver hitch.
I bought everything from harbor freight except the steel & u bolts.

Harbor freight ramps & wheel chocks. The upright tube is part of my swagman bicycle rack. I also tie
    the bike to it.

Since it attaches with dual hitch and does not pivot they call it an 5th wheel extension not a trailer. I've pulled it in Ga. Fla. NC, SC, Ala.

I must have spoken to the wrong person at the Florida Department of Transportation or they were having a bad day. They told me if it attaches with a receiver hitch and has wheels it is considered a trailer.

I could not tell from the pics it has a "dual hitch".

I have seen and talked to campers in Florida that pulled a trailer from Tennessee all the way through Georgia behind their 5th. I was always told they drove at night.

I will have to look at this set up for bringing motorcycles along.
