    Adding Maxxfan

After reading up a bit on different aftermarket ventilation fans Ive decided to go with the MaxxFan with remote 00-07500K.

Now to source one. There are many vendors and I want reputable without being drug through the mud on the price. Ive seen prices spanning from $269 to one that was way out of the ballpark at $428. Amazon Prime has them for $304 which at this point is my best choice as I'm a prime member and its free 2 day shipping. I was surprised to see that camping world that is supposed to be a good source is definitely on the crack pipe. Their "Internet only" sale price is a good bit above the median at $348 with $25 tax and $9 shipping.

Anyone have any advice on a good source for RV accessories that is reasonably priced and reliable?

I found it on Tweety's for $305.84 with free shipping. I've bought a few things through them and they seem first rate. Here's a link... http://tweetys.com/maxxair-maxx-fan.aspx

    Hi Dave,
Does Tweety's ship to you in Canada for a reasonable cost, or do you take delivery in the US ?

I've found Amazon to be just about the one place for everything--except car parts. And with One Touch, it's ordered instantly with no hassles.

I've had items delivered to the State Park we were camping at. Ship to Canada and reasonable cost don't belong in the same sentence!

    . . . Bin there . . . Done that !

You need to discover Kinek. They specialize in receiving packages for Canadians at US border points.

Usually, most vendors offer free shipping within the US. So, you cross into the US, pay bridge crossing and GST on the way back . . . no other costs. I have used this service many times. 20 minutes from our boat in the 1000 islands.

Edit: Kinek is actually not "free" . . . I forgot that they charge $5 per package . . . In the grand scheme of things . . . nearly "free".

We also ordered a Max fan from Amazon, best overall prices with free shipping. They also have the best return policy of any company I know of.

I have found camping world is rarely a good deal. If it's on sale and you have a local one then maybe OK. I use them to browse and get part numbers then search online for what you want. If you have a good relationship with your dealer you can some times get them to be a little more competitive. For 10 or twenty bucks on an item like your talking about sometimes its not worth it to order online and deal with wrong and defective items. I would rather source that part locally if the dealer will cooperate. Agree on Amazon also. Prime is nice to have. Usually good pricing but still pays to check.

Unfortunately for me I live in probably the most expensive place in the country. Then add to that there are two dealers anywhere close and one of them is Camping World! LOL you would think they would be competitive with thie pricing but not even in the ball park. I just went ahead and ordered from Amazon.
