    Under Step shoe storage

We got tired of tripping over shoes when entering our 5th wheel so my wife got to work on a solution. She removed the front panel from the first step and laid some tile on the particle board. She then applied some textured wall paper to the posts before painting and finishing off with a trim piece. She moved the front panel to the back set of supports under the second stair. To seal the back of the space, I moved the One Control module to the side of the stair frame. Turned out pretty good.

Looks good. I wasn't able to open your last photo. And you're right, it's the most important one.

This is something I need to tackle.

Just a pointer. Ours front carpeted step panel had (1) screw holding it to the 2 X 2 studs on the right side (hard to find). After searching the carpet for some time didn't find anymore screws. We just pushed from the inside of the stair and staples came out of the posts still attached to the carpeted board.

    Nice job.

    If we are giving pointers.
The steps are very slippery if you are in your socks. There have been a few reports of people going down and getting hurt.

I put some pieces of carpet on ours. KEN
