    22 mle stabilizer question

Question, are these too far extentended, just right, or would a block underneath be better?
I know not to lift them or level with the stabilizers, but read less extension gives it more stabilization. Just not sure at what point I need blocks?Click image for larger version.

Another piece or two of 2x wouldn't hurt, but they look OK like they are. You don't want them extended any farther than they are, though.

Hi Libby, yes the stabilizer is too extended, I used to put three boards under each stabilizer and it worked. But i had too many boards to store and carry in rv so I purchased two packs of Camco 44514 Fasten leveling blocks at Wal-mart. This are light and stack up for storage. I only use them for camping I still use the boards when rv is stored. I rather have the boards go thru rain and sun. I also use 4 stabilizers camco 44560 for extra support. Between the 4 rv stabilizers and the camco 44560 stabilizers our rv is super stable. This is the set up that works for me I hope this helps. If you want to see pictures let me know. Good luck! Keep rving!

Agree with @Second Chance. I would put at least one or maybe two more boards under there. I carry two half cinder blocks with me in the TV for those areas were there is a lot of space. I'll put the half cinder block down and then one of my custom made wood/rubber pads on top of the block.

They say that after they are extended past 50% they really lose stability. Better then nothing but not as effective. Lumber, rubber pads and or lego blocks (camco or similar) will help to keep them from going past that 50% mark.

Thanks for all the replies, I was thinking they may be too far. I'll grab some blocks and see how they work. I'm thinking it should make it a lil more stabil.
    Appreciate it.

Here is what I made for our trailer they work great and I don't have to carry a stack of 2"×6" boards.
All 4 of the blocks fit it a plastic milk carton for easy storage.Click image for larger version.

Nice! Do you know how much your blocks weigh? Also, did you use 2 x 6? Lastly, if you had to make these again, would you do anything different? Thanks!

I would use pressure-treated lumber for anything in contact with the ground...
