    50 Amp Outlet at Home

The 50 amp outlet at home has been a nice addition. How many have done the same?

Previous owner had a 40A in place for a welder...only had to change out the receptacle...it's very nice to have in the summer heat. We don't miss the other 10A.

Put a 50 amp pole under my RV cover about 4 yrs ago. Great to leave it hooked up to run the AC and fridge when I want.

My wife loves being able to use the AC while preparing for a trip or when coming back home in the summer. That's the big perk for us.

I have a 30amp on the front of the garage for when I parked the rig in the driveway. Last fall I moved it to it's new parking spot in the back yard. I Ran a 30amp back there also. It's more than enough for Loading and unloading for trips, and even for the grandkids doing backyard campouts.

I put one in the barn where we keep our 5th when not in use. Funny after some friends found that we had electric, water and sewer they came and stayed for a couple - three weeks on their way south!

Put a 30A in which is more then enough to run everything in the camper and its great. Day we brought the camper home i hung the 50A cord in the garage and have never taken it down since. Never been anywhere that had a 50A plug and 30A runs the whole thing including A/C and microwave at same time

I still keep my 50a in the rig. I was at one park last year that the 30a didn't work

I've had at least a 30amp outlet since the '90s. Now I have 50amp (and water & sewer) - it make for a great additional 'bedroom' for the kids when they come to visit. I think they like it better than in the house. They can stay up late and sleep in!

As someone else mentioned, the DW sure appreciates being able to turn on the AC when cleaning after we return or when prepping to leave. I kind of like it when doing projects inside.
