Coleman generator
I know this is not an RV issue but I am preparing for dry camping. My generator runs but no power. I was told to change the brushes and excite the generator. I did that. I now have 113 volts but it does not spin a circular saw. Any suggestions or should I look for a new one? Thanks!

I have to ask...have you tried the saw on a known good power source to rule out the saw as the problem?
Is it safe to assume you are measuring power on one of the generator outlets?

Well I've got nothing else to suggest...hope you find a solution besides a new generator.

Don't know if this will help or not. Try plugging in something that requires less current like a fan. This may bring it back.
