truck bed camera for help in hooking up

Not sure which section this should go in, figure moderator will move it if necessary.

Lol....my wife has trouble guiding me onto my Anderson Hitch so was going to get a camera that I could set into the bed, and view on a separate screen. I was contemplating a Swift Hitch. Has anyone used this product or any other camera that has helped in hooking up?

    Thanks

I don't know about the Ram but new GM models have a cab mounted option that integrates with the factory display. I also was able to add an integrated camera on my old 2016 GMC. I have the Anderson hitch and the camera makes it a do it yourself operation.

I bought the magnetic mount RVS system camera. Love it. I can back up and hitch all by myself.

Sounds like the way to go. I can’t see my hitch from in the truck. Which model did you get? Thanks!

Our 2020 Ram has the factory camera which allows a close up of the hitch on the big screen. It is as good as being behind the truck
    looking at the hitch.

I got the RVS-83112 3.5" wireless camera. Love it, works great. I hook up all by myself now. Makes it much easier when I need to get the camper out of storage.

I've seen a pool noodle placed on the ball as a point for reference.

Initially, to mark center, I put a piece of yellow electrical tape on the vertical flat of the pin box nose then made it more permanent with paint. From experience I know by sighting the yellow mark and the elevation of the pin box where I am. I can get it dead on about 75% of the time now. The other 25% I'm within the area that the cup will capture and guide the ball in.
I did buy a second camera for the Haloview mc7108 system I have at the rear. My intention was to mount it with magnets at the pinbox with the Andersen socket in view.

For a plug and play camera that uses the factory Sync display, there is this: https://camerasource.com/super-duty-...grade-cam.html. BTBRV did an install video of this unit on his F450. I didn’t poke around the Camera Source website very much, but I believe I saw an option for using Ram factory displays. Maybe.
