I just bought a Zero-G blue drinking-water safe hose for this camping season. Yuck! I guess I'll be sanitizing it frequently. They are not cheap. Luckily, I still have my Camco hoses.

I bought a Flexzilla from Amazon that I’m very happy with. HFZC550TCS. Very flexible and could easily into a 5-gallon bucket.

I made two 25’ hoses out of it and bought caps and plugs for the ends to keep stuff out of it. I have an old hose I use for flushing the waste tanks. It goes in a plastic tote with the dump hose (won’t fit in my bumper - I may install a holder for it this year, but so far it’s not smelly).

Just checked their website. They have a 5 year warranty. Not sure if this would be covered but would be interesting to bring it to them as a possibility. Scanned through a bunch of amazon reviews with average of 4.7/5. By far the most negative reviews were those about physical failures, leaks. About 1/2 of the failures occured right out of the box, the other after couple months of use. Even fewer negative reviews mentioned bad taste/smell, wondering if there is coorelation there with what you saw. I like the packability too much to give it up and not sure I'm terribly concerned simply because I use my filter on the camper side of the hose but I'll definitely be keeping a look out. Thanks for the heads up.

I would be quite positive they just don’t see it and know

I sighted down a foot or two on my old white ones, and they were pure white.

Obviously lots of growth - I suspect black algae, rather than mold....but didn't get out my microscope!

Back in the trash they went.
That makes me very glad we did not buy the zero G . We don't drink the water out of the tap...that picture makes me hapy we don't.

I use all these types to various extent..the whites for water supply to the trailer control panel with some short stainless leaders similar to how houses use them to sinks. I use quick connects to pop in a pump section if I need to boost pressure for a shower short term as we have encountered really low pressure flow rate. (Love to post a pic but no option on phone) The zero gs only gets used for black tank flushing or exterior washing I just don't trust them for drinking or long term under sustained pressure.
