I am really happy with the choice so far. I have it all set up and ready to go on its maiden voyage this weekend towing our camper. I put a Xpel clear bra on it, Line-X bed liner and a BakFlip Fibermax bed cover that Line-X covers with their bed spray and then sells under their name (Truck Gear) with a lifetime warranty. I drove it to St. Louis and back for the clear bra (250 mile round trip) and got 22.7 MPG with the cruise set at 70 MPH. For the part of the trip where the speed limit was 60 to 65 MPH it was getting 23.9 MPG. Can't wait to see what it will get towing.

Nice rig. You will have to give us a report on the gen 3 6.7 and the 10 speed trany. Some impressive fuel mileage

Thanks, the color is very close to the Ruby Red that my F-150 had but it is actually lighter and a brighter red. It is called Rapid Red. I am also glad I ordered the two tone paint with the bottom in Stone Gray, I think they go well together. I was really happy when the truck came in and I saw the available payload at 3523 lbs.

We got back on Sunday and here is what the truck did pulling our camper. We have an Imagine 2670MK which tops out at around 8100lbs when we are fully loaded for a multi-week trip with the bikes on the back. This was a week trip and no bikes so we were lighter than the 8100lbs. We went from Southeast Missouri to Northeast Alabama to a place called Desoto State Park. While on the interstate I kept the speed between 68 and 70 MPH. My best mileage was 12.4MPG (with no wind) and my worst was 11.2MPG with a 10 MPH headwind. With the other tanks I was getting 11.6 to 12.2MPG. It seemed to settle in the upper 11's to low 12's. I even set the cruise at 68 MPH when the traffic allowed and the 10 speed did a great job pulling the trailer without downshifting. Even on long hills the truck pulled and stayed in tenth and would never downshift nor would it lose any speed. Only on long steep hills would it shift down to ninth gear. At 68 MPH and in tenth gear the RPMs were between 1500 and 1600 RPM so I guess the engine was making plenty of power to pull my trailer up hills without constantly downshifting. Once I got the sway system adjusted properly I never even knew there was a trailer behind me, no sway, no blow or suck by trucks passing, and not much different than driving the truck with no trailer attached. Needless to say I am more than happy with my choice for a new truck.

I included some pictures I took today after cleaning it up and giving it its first coat of wax.
