    Just Purchased A Used 2021 Solitude 373FB

We are re-entering the RV world after a few years being absent. After much research, we settled on the Grand Design Solitude because of the good things many owners listed on this forum and the ability to talk to a responsive human being at Grand Design. We located the coach at an RV park 41 miles from our house to become familiar with it. That was the closest we could secure a safe site with full hookup. Our next location will be south of Ocala, FL at a new RV resort on the 6 and 6 plan. We are not buying a truck for the transport, but will hire a professional transport company for any moves, as we plan to leave it in FL. Now I can worry about protecting the coach from the hot and humid FL elements.
We have been gleaning this site and learning much helpful information to make this re-entry a positive experience. Hopefully we can contribute in the future.

Thanks for the recommendation. GD requested that I make the request in writing with a bill of sale stating the pertinent details. The documentation is in the mail.

If you're old enough, you may remember this dialog from The Graduate:

Mr. McGuire: I want to say one word to you. Just one word.
    Benjamin: Yes, sir.
    Mr. McGuire: Are you listening?
    Benjamin: Yes, I am.
    Mr. McGuire: Plastics.

In the case of an RV on a permanent site in Florida, my one word of advice would be: dehumidifier (a big one or several - with hoses running to the exterior). Of course, if the air conditioners are running a lot, they will serve the same purpose. Humidity and the resulting mold in sub-tropical climates can be disastrous in RVs.

Yes, I am old enough and had a fantasy that I would have an "opportunity" like Benjamin.
I plan to place reflection insulation in the windows and set the air to 85 degrees. Do I need to worry about the insulation on the windows causing some type of problem? I also plan to use a good uv protectant on the exterior. Covered storage would be preferred.

I don't think the Reflectix will cause any problems - lots of folks use it. You just want to make sure that the ACs cycle about 40 - 50% of the time wherever you set the thermostat. If you pay metered electric, a couple of good dehumidifiers might cost less to run. We carry and use a good sized one and get it out whenever the inside RH is above 50%.
