Liquor and Wine Hospitality Storage

Showing off my latest addition to the front room. The earlier buyers had wisely replaced the original theater chairs with a reclining love seat. MUCH more comfortable. However, while the person on the right can use the table as a beverage rest, the poor guy on the left (that would be ME) doesn't have a place to rest a drink. Another issue - the remotes are ... well ... remote. What am I gonna do? Carry them all in may shirt pocket? (I would ... rather than letting anybody else get to 'em!)

My solution was to make a 6.5" wide cabinet, styling it fit in with the original colors and design. A flip lid on the top has a place to store remotes and other detritus. Rather than let that space go to waste, I built in a drawer that holds four bottles on their side and another three standing.

I also installed a push lock to keep it closed during travel (and when we have underagers visiting)
But I have the key so if you see the Kansas Dragon sign then come a knockin' 'cause like a Scout I'm prepared!

Pam and Doug - well done and a great modification ! Many of us deal with this beverage and remotes challenges with the theater seating but you have built a nice solution. Thanks, for sharing the write up and pictures !
