Lamp and table added to theater chair

While sitting in the theater chairs, we did not have enough light to read by and nowhere to set a glass of wine or cup of coffee in our Solitude 369RL. The theater chairs have cup holders which are great for a can, but not much good for a coffee cup or wine glass so here is what I came up with.

I used a lamp we had from an old floor lamp with a table. I removed the center cushion section on the theater chairs and removed the brackets that hold that section on. I then constructed the back table which the lamp mounts to and the small table for the front of the chair using oak and stained them with ebony stain. For the back table, which the lamp connects to, I used the brackets which were removed from the center cushion section. For the front table I attached 2 inch PVC caps and left them a bit loose and slid the cup holders from the chair over them and then slipped the cup holders with the small table top connected back into the chair. The PVC caps had to be shaved down a bit to make them fit.

    I have attached pictures.

That looks great. I got excited when I saw the title of this post, but unfotunately Reflection theater seat is different. Guess I'll have to keep leaning forward and reaching around wall to use end table and turning dining room chair for my wife to use as an end table on her side until I come up with something creative like this that will fit ours.Click image for larger version.

That came out looking pretty darned good Patrick. I've been trying to think of some way to add a table to our 303. We have 2 rocking recliners instead of the theater seat. Still doesn't leave any room for play.

We also went with the rocking recliners. Our plan is to take one out and then add a table.

We also turn the dining table chair around (mentioned earlier by Scott) and place one of the sink cover pieces on it to provide a side table for the one recliner. There is room for a small shelf on the aft wall of the slide out, beside the other recliner. On my list of "things to build" is something to hold a glass, a snack dish and perhaps the remotes.

BTW, also love the Corgi avatar !

That's so funny! Dave throws all the remotes onto one side of the theater seats.....so I end up sitting on the couch.....with my feet up....and my wine on a TV tray.....guess it's not so bad after all :-)

What year is your 369RL? I've got a 2014 369RL and have two LED lights right above the theater seats, with a switch on the wall, on the right. What you did does look good though..

We have the lights above the chairs also, but still not enough light for old farts. We had the same problem in our previous RV and remedied it by purchasing the floor lamp with a table that I used the lamp part for this mod. Plus, the small table for coffee or a wine glass works really well.

I see y'all are from Salem, Or. We are going to be staying in Salem for two days at Hee Hee Illahee RV Resort on May 24th. Got any suggestions on things to see in your area?
