New xls 2 rbe tire
Our xls 22 rbe was ordered 1 week ago. Can I request through my dealer that Goodyear or Carlisle tire
Be installed, rather than ( China bombs)? I am willing to pay price difference.

You can negotiate at the dealer-level, but one way or other you will pay for the change. Meaning they won't give you credit for the factory tires. So, it will likely be less expensive for you to have them installed after the sale if the factory tires are not as you want. IMO - Carlisle are not a trailer tire upgrade.

Assuming you dislike the Westlakes due to issues reported here and on other forums. I have not heard of a Westlake D rated tire problem on any trailer under 7000# GVWR. There may be some, just have never heard of them. The XLS might use 14” tires. My experience is with the 15” 205 Westlakes, now coming up on 8000Km with no signs of wear or checking. i do keep tire shades on them when sitting in the driveway and check the air pressure before every trip. My local Goodyear dealer, who balanced the tires for me, told me to wear them out, he was aware of Westlake issues on trailers they should never have been installed on.
Good luck on the change, and as noted above, it will likely cost you less to change the tires after you take possession, rather than have an RV dealer do it. Regardless, I suggest you balance whatever tires you put under the XLS.Judy & Larry

I'd invest in a good quality TPMS before replacing the brand new tires. Load E West Lakes had a bad reputation. I'm still running our load D West Lakes.

Best advice on all fronts. The TPMS gives you piece of mind and can be moved from tire to tire brand over the years, possibly from trailer to trailer. As noted by @Ynot4me2, the bad reputation of the Westlake tires was earned thru the E load, again, I have not heard of any issues with the D range tires on a <7000# trailer.
