Hello Grand Designers!
Hi there! My wife and I are considering buying a 5th wheel. We were considering a Keystone Cougar since i only have a f150 to pull it and we know the cougar was designed for half ton trucks.
Then we heard about Grand Design half ton series from a friend who is an avid rv'er so we looked into it. And boy were we thrilled we did. So now our decision has been made up and we want a 260rd.
My question to you is about hitches. I was thinking of a PullRite since it weighs very little and i would have more cargo load available. does anyone have experience using this hitch? Is there any chucking while driving? Is it very secure in that the trailer will not come disconnected? Most importantly, will Grand Design warranty be voided by using this hitch? Ive been hearing different opinions.
Any help in getting us started would be grateful.
Thank you.

Welcome aboard! Glad you're here. I can't help you with the hitch question but I'm sure somebody will chime in.

Just because a fifth wheel says, "Half Ton" doesn't mean it really is. In addition, not all F150s are created equal. With fifth wheels, it's all about payload - not towing capacity. Watch this video and do some more research:
