Understood.
That was a must for us getting the 349M. We had to have "Walmart mode" where you can get into and use the bedroom & bathroom with all of the slides in. As an added bonus, the Morryde steps let me retract those before locking the door .. so it's kind of super-stealth mode.Last edited by jjbbrewer; 04-27-2021 at 11:49 PM.

This is definitely the case at a truck stop. Plenty of times we would stop at a truck stop for either the night or lunch and when you open the door a truck is there that wasnt there earlier. Usually I will let everyone in, then fold up the stairs and climb inside. With the stairs that fold in the doorway this would not be possible, there is minimal space between trucks at a truck stop.

One time I had a guy in a motor home pull up right next to us at 10pm and fired up his geny. We were the only 2 in the huge Walmart parking. At 1am his geny was still going I was exhausted and had another long day ahead so I ended up raising the stabilizers and relocated to the other end of the parking. The next morning at the Walmart McDonald while waiting for our coffee he showed and said, aren't the guy with the tt? I said yep, he then apologized. He only realized after he saw me move and then setup again at the other end the his geny was loud and it was real late. He was new to this.

when we're staying over night, we rarely disconnect, but like many others here state, we always try to get as level, if possible before opening slides. If we're going to lower the jacks, we also manually lower the jacks, but for overnight stays, we don't worry about them.

That is sooo coool. Very nice of you to move away from the problem rather than be nasty about it. Props. And the fact that he learned from the experience is even mo betta.
I don't get very excited about the angle of the refrigerator, mine just keeps working no matter what hill I am on.
I will put the front jacks down when we don't unhook for a quick nights stop, not enough stress the systems, just enough to take some of the weight off the hitch and add some stability.
Having slid slides at all angles I don't get to excited about angles for sliding. As long as the rv is not falling over it'll be ok. Could something happen? Absolutely, but in doing my risk analysis of the situation I think the probability of something going wrong is very low.Dallas
