5'r with the Anderson Ultimate hitch security lock

Like to put a security lock on my 230RL. I have the Ultimate Hitch from Anderson and I can only find one lock, the Fort Knox lock. Does anyone have a 5'r that they use some kind of lock and if so, how/what did you use? Are there others brands out there besides the Fort Knox lock?

I'm not super concerned about security, but wife is, so better find something.

    Thanks

We used an Andersen Ultimate when we first started out, but did not use a lock on the trailer/pin box. I figured that the odds of someone coming along with an Andersen hitch in the truck to steal the trailer were pretty low. We're also full-time, so the RV doesn't spend much time unattended. I do have a standard kingpin lock on the Solitude since we are using a conventional fifth wheel hitch, now. I'm not aware of any other options for the Andersen... sorry!

I'm with Rob in his thinking that there are few with an Andersen hitch yet. If you see another in a campground it's usually a novelty and a conversation starter. Heck I have replacement coverage anyway so if it's gone It saves me trying to sell it and I get the same money for it.

I looked for a long time and only found the Fort Knox lock. It works well and is easy to install and remove.

I’ve been using the Fort Knox lock for several years. It’s a sturdy device, easy to install and offers decent security.

    Here’s mine installed.

That looks cool Jerry, as noted from others in the post, not sure if i want to shell out the $200+ for it yet, but, according to my wife....$200+ is a lot cheaper than the $30k+ that the 5'r cost. I

Hi rgpracer. When we had our travel trailer TH, I was always concerned about the security of it when we were away. I researched tons of locking devices, and most (if not all) could be easily defeated, except of course the really expensive ones. So, my research led me to this..https://www.amazon.com/Trimax-TCL275...F4RN1Y76TTSR1M

Sure, one could be removed by simply taking of the tire and replacing it with the spare. BUT..two tires? What is the likelihood of someone having a second tire in their vehicle? PLUS..I have locking lug nuts. Just in case.

Easy to put on and take off, and very inexpensive.

    Hope this helps.
