2021 Momentum and Norcold Refrigerator has already died

A month into this warranty claim (and we have had to live in it the whole time) and GD still dragging their feet to get it replaced. Who else is having issues with GD warranty and customer service?? Is there a class action lawsuit yet for poor construction and appliance failures?

Norcold 2118SST already dead on 2021 Momentum. And after a month, still no action by GD/Norcold.

Is this through your dealer ? If so , have you followed up with a call to GD to confirm there was anything initiated by the dealer
?

Did you check the 5A fuse in the back of of the fridge? There is a black plastic covered box back there....maybe about 5" x 5" and if you remove the cover, you will find a 5A fuse. If it's blown, replace it with a 7 or 7.5A fuse and see if it works.

Ours quit after we washed the outside of hauler. Take off the panel outside to see the back area of fridge. You need a strong magnet but you can reboot it. I can get you pictures if you need. There is a square box and you put magnet on the side and it should restart it.

Ours wouldn't switch from AC to LP automatically - a bunch of food went bad as a result.

I pulled the fuse (5A?) out of the main power fuse box, waited a few minutes, plugged it back in and it started working.

I gave up on my Norcold in my 351. It worked ok occasionally, but I was never happy with it, I eventually went to Home Depot and bought a Samsung residential and never looked back. The Samsung works terrific and has alot more room. I don't understand how the industry uses these fridges year after year and it is accepted by customers. I would never buy another rv with anything but a residential. Being your still under warranty try to get them to install a residential under warranty.

Because it's not a one shoe fits all scenario. The Norcold type refrigerators still allow you to boondock without having to spend a ton of extra money on a larger battery bank, solar, inverter, etc.

If that's not your style of camping, then just order it with the residential option.
