There are a lot of things that can add weight, or subtract weight, during the build process. All tires do not weigh the same, all wheels do not weight the same (but close), frame members and lengths of steel in general do not weight the same, laminated wood products can vary in weight. Density varies from one unit of whatever your talking about to the next, especially in a process of making steel, laminated wood, particle board and so on, where you are adding or blending ingredients. Unless the process of manufacturing something controls the weight, there will be differences. Not saying that's the difference of 300pounds in this case, but it could be.

That is a big variance to identical units
But the OP has not posted yet what the actual sticker on their trailer says. Hopefully they will

My trailer came with a "Vehicle Weight Information" sheet. It lists the very specific weights and capacities for MY trailer (VIN is at the top of the sheet with a date of 10/7/2020). It seems that GD weighs each individual trailer before it leaves.

Yes they. What they advertised is general, but then each individual trailer is weight right off the assembly line for a specific weight of the VIN.

Just went out and looked at sticker. UVW is 6174. I wonder if they stuck the wrong sticker on it. The sticker doesn't state what model the trailer is.

Wow. That doesn’t make sense. Mine is 5842

Over 300 lb variance in identical equipped trailers

There is a sheet of paper in your documentation that list the weight as well
    Do you have it?

Here is my sheet. Every trailer should be delivered with it.

I wonder if they had liquids in the tanks during testing??? And didn’t empty them before it went on to the scales?
