    Perfect example..what you think is wood, really is MDF.

    My Solitude tabletop that is peeling/delaminating is definitely MDF or something similar. You can feel and see the texture underneath. Still waiting on a reply from GD on this issue...will try to call them today.

    I did notice a comment in this thread about peeling "leather" furniture in earlier GD's. Must say the material they used in this 2022 Solitude is much heavier than it used to be. Feels good, cleans easy, and appears to be very durable.

    I was going to suggest GEL based finish, but reading your post, I am surprised such did not work. Did you prep by lightly sanding 200-400 grit first?
