I inquired with GD last fall because I wanted to stand on my slide out roof to do some work. They advised me not to. Probably a CYA/Liability answer but I ended up using scaffolding I have to do what I needed to do.

GD put a video out a while ago about the slide construction. In the video they stated they were strong enough to walk on.

I don't have time to search through them all, but if you want to do your homework, it's somewhere in here:

Yes it’s ok to walk on the slides. I get on them all the time to sweep off leaves before bringing them in. I don’t have toppers on mine.

Here is a link to a Grand Design video that explicitly states you can walk on slide outs.

How does that saying go again. Just because you can doesn't mean you should. Lol
It just doesn't seem right in my head. I can broom the leafs off the slide from the roof or my telescoping ladder. I just don't want to create any problems. I'm not a heavy weight but I'm not a feather either. I'd rather be safe then sorry on this one.Steph & Lise

Yes, I called GD when we had our Reflection and asked, they said yes with it extended all the way out I could walk anywhere on the slides. And I'm 230lbs.
