    Bent metal cross section

Is this bad?! I drove 150 miles and stopped to check on stuff. The meta piece that goes across the trailer at the hitch section is bent. I don’t know how this happened or how bad it is.

Knowing which trailer you have and pictures would really helps us to help you.
Bent metal is never a good sign.

The good news is that's not structural. Did you back up over something?

It looks like you hooked something while backing up.

Yeah, it totally looks like that, but I never backed up over anything. I think I would have noticed, I honestly haven’t done much backing up with this since I got it.

Interesting. I'd be curious to know how much weight you have in your pass through storage? Could it be too much weight so as to buckle the brace? Terribly concerning as I plan on carrying a lot in there since GD recommends no bumper accessories.

Could also be expansion from heat. If that piece was cut to long making it a real tight fit and it gets warmer outside. IDK, but on the other hand, it wouldn't explain why it wasn't like that prior to the PDI.

I only have two totes in my trailer pass through. Which is not much weight. Nothing in the holding tanks. That metal is kinda thin in my opinion. It does hold a lot of the weight of the trailer. I am in Nevada and it has been really hot and I think the heat has something to do with it. I have a call into grand design for resolution. I still have not heard back from them. I’ll keep you guys posted on the outcome.
