So here’s a look at the failed tire. Looks like almost a full cap separation. Splits anywhere from 1/2” to 2” long in innermost groove. Smaller ones scattered in other grooves. Center of tread crowned all the way around.
7080 miles on it.

So an update. Made it just under 500 miles to another destination. Two stops / four nights in between. Now have another tire failing exactly like the first one did. Even if I could get these warrantied , I wouldn’t trust them to make it 900 miles back to Texas. Just ordered a set of Goodyears from Discount.
