    Sealed properly?

On our 5th wheel, the sealer on the tpo roofing does not seal to the dark brown trim along the top rear. It looks like water can go in between the roof and the trim. Is it supposed to be sealed to the trim?

YES! It should be sealed. Mine was like that on one side so I used Alpha 1021 self leveling sealant. Lippert now has rights to it and it’s available directly from them or Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Lippert-Compo...084DVXM7P?th=1

That's an excellent price and they have all the colors.

In the pic, you can see (hopefully) where the sealer makes it to the dark brown trim. Most of it does not appear to be sealed.

My personal opinion is to put a piece of Eternabond across the entire front and rear seals. Did that on my last few campers since the seal looked like there was potential water entry spots.

While my thinking tends to agree with Jerryr, I'm not 100% sure the sealer is 'supposed to be sealed to that trim, or is the trim meant to be removable?

I'm not familiar with eternabond, google time.

Your picture is of tape similar to Eternabond, just Alpha's. The real seam is below that tape. Nothing wrong with bridging with wider tape if it brings you peace of mind. Eternabond, and the original product out of commercial roofing is available in wide widths. Be sure to clean the aluminum and existing tape well.

    Thanks all
And I now realize I posted in the TT instead of the 5th wheel section. Oh well. Probably same construction.
