I just ordered a front 2” hitch for my 2020 F150. It is supposed to be able to carry 500 lbs and pull 5k. I will by a bike carrier for the hitch and carry my two bikes in front if my truck. Will post pictures when it comes in and is installed.

Yes, please post pictures! The wife doesn't want to do that because it's "ugly". I've told her it's safer than on the back of the fifth wheel.

I can only imagine Towing it down the road and hitting a pothole at 65 to 75 mph with the standard wheel and tire on a bicycle. It would probably rip the tire and rim to shreds and then start grinding the bicycle down from there.

I've had the hitch on the front of my f350 for over a year now with no problems. I use to carry the bikes on a roof rack, but with a cover on the bed & me getting older, it was getting to be a PIA.
The Swagman rack hangs the (aluminum) MTB's, & with a couple of bungees don't move at all. The front wheels ride in the basement of the trailer. The road bike rides on the bed in the trailer.
I do wish my Thule rack would work, as it has wheel cradles & hold downs, but it sticks up too high.
I'd never put a rack & bikes on a trailer bumper, no matter what enhancements it has.

Right now hard to find an inexpensive (RV rated) bike rack that doesn't cost and an arm and leg (and kidney). We have a class 2 hitch on the rig and a swagman rack that works perfectly. I have two inexpensive older bikes that we use on the road. The expensive ones stay home..... Looking at a set of electrics at some point which will require an upgrade.

I put my bikes in the back of the van. But I have used a bumper rack on two different RV's with no issues.

To anyone reading this thread do not “toad” your bikes. Carrying bikes correctly is a safety concern.

My attempt at a little humor seems to have failed
