We had the microwave plate jump out of our microwave last year also. I cut a piece of pool noodle to fit between plate and the top of the microwave. Seems problem is solved.

In my experience pool noodles are second only to duct tape in their versatility and usefulness in fixing just about any problem one may encounter. [emoji23]

Had the same problem with the microwave door opening during travel. We used these on all of our cabinet doors and microwave.

It's posts like that that show just how much abuse these rigs take going down the highway.

I keep thinking about suspension upgrades, adding shocks, etc.
Not just to prevent the broken glass, there are ways to mitigate that. But the structural abuse is significant.

For sure! I had an opportunity to do something peculiar and ride in a 5er on a closed loop testing course that was fitted with MORryde IS. Traversed washboards, peaked speed bumps, constructed potholes, and rockers... That system is absolutely the way to go for longevity of such a large, heavy, high center of gravity trailer that sees a lot of miles. We had an HTT with Torflex axles and it was rare to have anything jarred loose from transit. The IS, or if the Dexter air suspensions creep into campers, will be on our next 5er. In the meantime, I'm pretty pleased with the difference after rebuilding our suspension and adding the Roadmaster shock kit.

We cut two pieces of pool floatation tube and wedge it in between the plate and top of microwave. Doesn’t keep the door closed but hold the plate in place.
