USACOE Parks
Anyone love them besides me? We have two in Georgetown, TX, one that we frequent more often than the other. They are clean, well maintained, and level sites, both waterfront and shaded.
The NP "Old Fart Pass" gets a site for half price, so $13 a night with water and electricity is a pretty sweet deal.2010 Jayco 26(SOLD)

We use COE parks all the time. In fact, we are heading out tomorrow for a 4 night stay at Holiday park on Lake Benbrook near Ft. Worth. There is a directory of COE parks by state that you can download through Kimble. Very helpful with trip planning.

X2. We look for these when we travel but often not on our route. On short trips and more local travel, we do not have enough of them in our region. We have stayed a few times at a very nice one just north of Des Moines complete with concrete driveway and pads for the table and fire pit. And yes, the "old person" pass at 1/2 price nighty rates is a bonus indeed !

Yep. Frequent them as well. Reservations are a bear, and unfortunately too many play the system.

All the time! This winters' travels we found Potter's Creek COE on Canyon Lake, TX to be our favorite and Broken Cove COE in Stigler, OK to be a dump. Most interesting in terms of layout has to be Bailey's Point in Bowling Green, KY (rolling hills and some steep inclines to back into, but beautiful. Just to chill, we liked Sandy Creek in Jasper, TX. Most interesting area to discover was around Salt Lick Creek COE, Gainesboro, TN with all the mountain vistas.

Potters Creek is a great park, especially if you can get a site on Loop 2, which is where all of the shade is.
