    2021 22RBE, 2021 Ram 2500 and Anderson Hitch - Which rise/drop version of hitch?

We are waiting for both a 2021 22RBE and a 2021 Ram 2500 (expensive few months for us ). Since they are not here we can't do the measurements needed to choose which Anderson hitch to buy. We need the measurement from the ground to the top of the truck's receiver, and from the ground to the bottom of the trailer's hitch. Knowing these measurements will let us know if we need the 4" drop/rise or 8" drop/rise hitch.
We also need the vertical measurement of the trailer's frame at the front of the trailer to pick the bracket.
I am assuming the ball is 2-5/16".
Thanks for your help with this.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your soon to be truck and trailer.

I can’t help with the truck’s hitch height, maybe someone else can chime in or the dealer your purchased from can get it. You might also contact Andersen‘s customer service which has been helpful to me in the past.

We have a 22mle which has just about the same specs as your 22rbe. It requires a 2 5/16” ball, the frame is 5”, and the trailer coupler height from ground to bottom of coupler is about 22 1/2”.

You won't be able to do the final adjustments until you find out how much the truck squats and how much you need to crank the bars - and that needs to be done with the trailer loaded for travel. When we had a travel trailer, I had to adjust things a couple of times after the initial setup. There are several good YouTube videos on how to go through the process.

Thanks for the posts, that should be all I need. I will stop by a Ram dealer with a tape to get the ground to receiver distance, and with that I can figure out which hitch I need.
    Thanks

My 2021 Ram 2500 4x4 diesel is 25 1/4 " to the top of the ball if that helps.

Jay, Thanks for the info. I stopped at a dealer and measured one like I have ordered and came up with 25" from ground to top of the receiver so it looks like the diesel and gas models are pretty similar in that regard.
