Tri-fold sofa bed 2800BH Upgrade?

Maiden voyage this weekend and a few hiccups BUT the tri-fold sofa bed. Man is that not comfortable and doesn't sit flat AT ALL. Anyone do any mods or upgrades on that thing?

You can also tweak the fold out legs to get it to sit flat.

Hard to believe this is still an issue. See these threads with post from me and others on the fix options to level the couch. My fix resulted in a level bed as shared in posts #8 on both links complete with pictures.

Now the comfort issue can be addressed in various ways using padding options to your liking......one example shared by Steve in his post #2 .

If you have the room and clearance, trade it out for a residential model. We put a European style sleeper sofa in ours. All steel bed frame, strap suspension for mattress, and a hybrid mattress. In Italy, in the tiny metro flats these are common as the primary bed and not the traditional European board with sheets. Took me awhile to find someone importing these from Italy, but I did! Lol.

Rob - this ideas is intriguing. When it works for you to do so, if you could share some pictures as a chair and bed that would be appreciated. Carol and I may consider something like this for our next RV.
