    Battery drain.....

Learning something each time I go out.....my battery is dead every time I go to the camper to hook up. Everything (I believe) is off that I'm aware of anyway. The cut off switch in the pass thru is off, just don't know.
Do I need to put another kill switch in the direct battery power cable and if so, why?
    Thanks

Yes. Why: there are parasitic power drains that are connected to the battery BEFORE the factory cut off switch. The propane leak detector, the breakaway switch, among other things. There are several threads that are dedicated to this issue. Most of us either remove the negative battery cable, the battery(ies) themselves, it put a cutoff switch just after the battery.

    Ditto to the above!
I left the existing cut-off switch in place and just rewired from battery to cut-off, cut-off to (+) bus bar. Ensures all loads properly fed from bus bar/resettable CBs.

As above, or be plugged into shore power all of the time. My rig is always plugged in while at home to a 30amp dedicated RV outlet.
