Dometic frig not cooling freezer still work

Pulled into our site Saturday the light wasn't working in the frig. I thought that the light was just out. Next day saw that the frig wasn't working but the freezer was. I was very puzzled, so I check the fuse it's good and when I put the fuse back in the frig started working. Has this happened to anybody else? Do you know wat may have caused it? I'm hoping to prevent it from happing again.

Well, the freezer is working but the frig cools down only to 50 degrees. We hear it running. Anybody have any ideas what is wrong?

What you hear running is the fans on the rear of the fridge. It does take about a solid day for the Dometic fridges to cool down to save temps

Dometic has some good help in their CS, call the number listed in the fridge manual and they may be able to help talk you through diagnosing the problem

Thank you. Do here fan running and gave it quite a bit of time to cool. It's like watching water boil. I got some ice and put things in ice chest last Nite, turned it off and going to call CS this morning.

Called Dometic they think it is the thermistor. I had the frig turned off, called them back to see if I could turn it on since the freezer worked. They said it would be ok. We left for a few hours when we got back the temp was 39. then later it went up to 49. When we get home, I will have to google haw to test the thermistor.

Where on the fins is the Thermistor placed ? We moved ours to the 2nd fin to the right side. It made a difference and never had issues after. Also remember to keep in mind the fridge goes through a defrost type cycle. To get this to cycle at night when there is less fridge activity turn it off and back on after a min right before you go to bed..

Sorry hadn't gotten back sooner been kind of busy. I'll check the location. When we left to come home the temp was 48. When we stopped alone the way home and when we got home 14hrs later the temp was 33. I turned it off after unloading the frig for at least 36 hours, turned it on yesterday and will check it this morning. Thinking about changing out the thermistor does anybody know how hard that is or any links on how to?
    Thanks for the replies.

Malfunctioning Dometic fridge is a big headache we dealt with in our 337RLS. Fridge would sporadically work on gas or shore power or not at all. Ultimately discovered that the lower (accessed from outside) circuit board was bad.
We blew 2 fuses before it was correctly diagnosed and replaced
