There's no way that your loaded pin weight is 2,350 - you need to weight it (loaded) on the CAT scales to find out what it really weighs. Our 2020 310GK-R puts 3,380 lbs. on the pin per the CAT scales. I can send you my weight tickets if you're interested.

Rob. I just bought an F-350 SRW with a 6.75' bed and a payload of 3390 lbs.. When you say your 310GK is puttting 3380 lbs. on the pin, it scares the heck out of me, because we're also looking at a 310GK. What condition are you weighing in? I know you've got a washer/dryer, but what else. Tanks empty, full or other? My wife is not going to be happy running along side the truck if our pin weight is in that ballpark.

We always weigh (and travel) with empty waste tanks (fresh tank is over the rear axle, so doesn't contribute to pin weight). We have Battle Born LiFePO4 batteries which weigh half what lead-acid batteries do. No generator, no heavy toys (two bikes on the back), and nothing else special. We are full-timers, so we have "minimized" wardrobes for four seasons. The washer/dryer only adds about 200 lbs total weight (maybe a little over half of that on the pin). The 3,380 pin weight was with full propane tanks, if I recall.

Is your wife normally a long-distance runner?

With the 6.75' bed and Ford OEM Puck system, am I going to need a slider hitch with the 310GK (which adds to the pin weight). This wasn't my ideal truck, but it was the closest I could find at a reasonable price. Thanks COVID-19.

WE had a 3700 pound payload and by the time I added in 400 pounds for my wife and me - 250 pounds for the B@W hitch and under bed mount - 100 pounds for bed cover I was down to 2950 pounds of payload for the 310GK-R. Loaded for 30 day trip I was over my GVWR and within 200 pounds of my Axle ratings. I had generator prep and was going to added in washer and dryer which would of put me over the axle and probably the tire ratings. The 310GK had plenty of payload and I was within GVWR of the 5th wheel so it would easy to exceed all your ratings of the truck and still not over the 5er.

I have a very similar situation. My F-450 has a payload capacity of 4635 lbs. My 385 GK loaded applies 3,760lbs. pin weight. That leaves me with only 875lbs. of cargo capacity. My B & W hitch 250lbs., wife and I 400lbs., —-not much left for payload. However, the GVWR of the fifth wheel is 16,800lbs. and I am only at 15,500lbs. loaded which is 1300lbs. under GVWR.
I don’t understand how many people are staying within their payload capacity?

I have been following all the truck threads for awhile now. I will not get a dually. I have an F-350 7.3 L gas SRW on order. I ordered the XLT model with as little as I could stand in the way of extras. I'm hoping it will come in with a payload in excess of 3800 or 3900 lbs. and a RAWR of around 7000lbs. We are also looking at a 310Gk. The DW will be disappointed if it doesn't happen. I'm hoping that without the diesel engine this will all work out. I'm also considering the Anderson Hitch or the Pull Rite Super Lite to cut down on hitch weight. All your stories keep me wondering though. We are not FT and will usually only be travelling South R/T during the winter. We will probably only head West once or twice sometime in the future.

As long as you don't load the truck bed and RV up to the gills, you should be fine.

I'm jealous. That's exactly the truck I wanted, but two days after the dealership took my order they called me an cancelled due to ending production early on the 2021's due to the chip shortage. They said I could order a 2022 (witout ever having sat in one or drove one), but they wouldn't even give me a guess on when it may get here. I didn't want to waste the whole year so I just bought a 2017 F-350 Lariat that's going to be boarderline for the 310GK. I may have to drop back to a Reflection 337, which I will also buy used.

With Godzilla under the hood, you should be over 4000 lbs. in payload as the 7.3 is about 700 lbs. lighter than the diesel. I hope you went with the 4.30 back end otherwise your towing capacity is going to be tight for the 310GK.
