We also use command hooks. There is the risk of the hook pulling the paper away from the the wall if the item hanging is to heavy or if the glue did not get distributed evenly. If that happen a thin glue inserted by syringe will restick the paper. We have hooks behind the bedroom door for light jackets and a robe.

You can find the studs by looking outside on a cool morning , the whole skeleton will show on the exterior with temp changes.

I built one out of scrap Red Oak I had lying around. I stained it to match the cabinets. I used those little plastic drywall inserts and used two of the screw holes on the hooks to mount it.
It's been up a while now and had several heavy coats on it and it's still rock solid.
If you're not ready to drill holes in your new rig then I agree with the others. I would use command hooks.

Got it hung up. Ended up using some anchors I got from Home Depot after talking to a guy from Grand Design. Seems real sturdy and surprisingly it matches the other wood pretty close. May end up staining it if it bothers me later on. Click image for larger version.

I used four of the 3M command sticky strips spaced out on the back of a wall mountable 4-hook coat rack. Left the command strip tabs hanging out at the bottom of the coat rack backer board so i can remove the coat hook rack if i ever need to. Of course, i reverted to the 3M strips after I learned the screws wouldn't hold on the wall.
    Has worked great!

ID:	34509I used the togglers that powerscol showed and hid them behind the hooks. I had to do this after the peel off hook did not work. This is working great.

We have been using command hooks that have velcro type material on them and we have hung a few heavy decorative items inside on our walls and these hooks work great! Stick on like normal command hooks and can be removed like normal command hooks but are holding up great!

I'm curious how long command hooks will last outside with weather and sun exposure...the OP said outside, right?

Found an easy way to find the aluminum studs.
Spray the side of the RV with water and as it drys an outline of the studs shows up. Simple take measurements from a good reference point like a window to the center of the stud. Measure inside and mounting is strong using sheet metal screws.
    Hope this helps.

I use a good stud finder on the inside wall or outside wall and have located the aluminum framing members easily. For inside coat racks, one self tapping screw in stud and one Hollow wall anchor worked well. Also on a cold morning, the condensation on the outside walls show the aluminum frame well.
