We have the 2500RL, and four adults in it. Our son, about 5'6 maxes out on the theatre seating. He doesn't complain, but it can't be that comfortable. Our daughter sleeps on the dinette, that is fairly comfortable, if you can prevent the cushions from moving while you sleep. If we had 4 adults on a regular basis, I wouldn't go with the theater seating, but instead the couch with the murphy bed. Like others have mentioned, a cot or air mattress (can't stand them) would also work. We love the floorplan of the 2500RL.

My 16 and 14 year old sons have no complaints about the bunk beds. I've slept on both bunks when we've had my parents stay with us, and no complaints from me other than getting into the top bunk isn't the easiest if you're not limber.
For your situation I think it would be ideal. The 22yo can fit in the top bunk, or sleep on the floor, or on the dinette, for the rare times he camps with you.
That'll be the expectation I have for my kids once they age out of camping with their parents.
Forgot to mention, I've upgraded the main bed with a proper mattress, and added 3" foam toppers to the bunk beds. The factory mattresses are only good for little kids that wouldn't know any better.2017 F150 Lariat 3.5 EB

Having spent 6 days in the 2610ML together with my SO, i would not know where to go, what to do, if 4 adults were cooped up in that trailer. I'm, let's say... Husky? 6ft6 and burly? and I suck up a lot of air in the trailer ;-)

NB Canada, the bottom bunk on our 2021 2400BH has a half-thickness mattress compared to the top bunk. Is this the same on yours?
To the OP, I'd say you could get four adults in a 2400BH, especially if your older son only joins occasionally. The downside compared to some of the other options mentioned is that the bunks will always be bunks even when they're not used as such, whereas if your kids join just some of the time, for all the other months the dinette and sofa in a non-bunk model are useful for you and your wife.
The biggest complaint my wife and I have about the 2400BH is the lack of a place for everyone to sit and relax. The dinette is good for eating, not so good for more than two people to chill out. On the weekends we'd convert to the bunk and use it like a big couch with some large throw pillows, but then there's no table...Chris, Tara, our two daughters, and our dog Slate full-timing

I like that idea of converting that dinette (dang those benches are narrow and low!) into some lounging area! for the 2610ML perhaps look into relocating the tv from across the slideout and theater seats to the wall closing off the bedroom? Or a smaller tv in general - that 40 inch tv is a big space eater.
Was trying to imagine something like the tv-dinner table from the smaller trailers, to hook that into the theater seating; but that would cut into the walking space.
Isn't it something? You just got the trailer, and already are thinking about needing a bigger one, different layout, better solution to the dinette, and so on :-)2021 Grand Design Imagine 2610ML, 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland EcoDiesel
