Get out your phone! Aurora alert for tonight and tomorrow night..Wish we were a bit further north. Speculation is we may be able to see them this far south but I'm not holding my breath.

Maybe too cloudy in NH. Humid, rain, clouds on and off.
I think you and @jasonl78 have S23s? I have a zfold4 and the expert app loaded. I know it doesn't have as good a camera as the S23. I have no knowledge of photography, but don't seem to have the same settings. Mine are ISO, Speed, EV, Focus, WB plus a choice of Ultra wide, wide, telephoto. Any suggestions if it should happen to clear off here? I've missed this every time - have never seen Aurora. Closest I ever got was flying west of Toronto when pilot announced beautiful view. Left side of plane and I was stuck on right side. Drat.

The 23 ultra has the settings you listed in pro mode with the addition of ST - Super Tele ( we also have an Expert Raw that opens seperately from the regular camera app. There is also a astrophotographaphy setting in the Raw. In the regular pro mode we also have a 12 or 50mp setting to pick from. I'm sttill learning the Raw app but getting better at it. The zoom on the ultra is amazing compared to my previous S 20. Gary is hoping the new flip coming soon would have the same camera as the Ultra.

I've seen the Auroras a few time in Northern Mi and the UP. Also once they appeared down in the Detroit area , thinking back in the 80s? Got a couple shots then but nothing like the phones today can do.

We're cloudy tonight too.. maybe tomorrow??

    Thanks Marcy,
I also have the astro setting and the expert raw app. It's going to take me awhile to understand the settings. Meanwhile, looks like tonight is a washout. Very heavy thunderstorm front with possible tornadoes now over Vermont and headed our way. Doubt that will be through.

Thought I'd share a few Milky Way shots I took over the weekend. Used my Galaxy S23 Ultra and did some editing in Lightroom.

I was outside last night while letting the dog do his potty thing. The stars were nice and bright. We are in WY and the nearest town is 5 miles away and 157 people, so there was not much for other light.

    Thanks for sharing. KEN
