Thank you all so much for the kind words and well wishes, this site feels like family and I've really enjoyed it. To answer @Skiddy question, no DCT transmission for me I got the 6 speed manual transmission. I love to shift manuals and the GW has a sweet one, the automatic defeats the whole purpose of riding to me. My idea of a ride is a 3 day weekend run to Big Bend park and back with 2 nights out there lol. I will definitely stay in touch and probably renew my membership, it's due this month. I know there are a lot of bike riders on here so I'll post pics of the new toy. I will say that my hats off to you full timers on here, that 2 week trip to Disney and back kicked my butt on the horrible roads out there, especially when you're by yourself. You folks who fulltime are amazing lol!

Thank you Cajun, I do love Goldwings and have had several over the years. Once took a trip from San Antonio up to Rocky Mtn Natl Park and spent several days riding the mountain roads, great trip! No it wasn't totally the Louisiana and east Texas roads that caused my decision but they contributed lol. I truly loved my setup but decided it's just too much work for one person to set it all up and take it all down when traveling like that. The inconsiderate truckers running 85 in the work zones, full rest areas and fuel stops etc just sealed the deal. With the current used car market I couldn't pass it up, made a fortune on the 1 yr old F450 and not so much on the trailer. My daughter starts medical school in the fall in Houston so I will probably buy a nice condo in the Kingwood area and be close to her and my grandson when I retire. The 'Wing will be my "me time" play toy to continue to travel.

Well I have sold the 450 and the Solitude and am moving on. I plan to go a different route when I retire in 4 years but have mostly enjoyed dabbling in the RV life. For now I am going back to a favorite old hobby, I take delivery of a new 2021 Honda Goldwing in about 2 weeks. I plan to ride the wheels off it all over Texas and the southwest the next few years and then we'll see how things are looking. I have really enjoyed being on this site and talking with all of you and I wish you all the safest of travels in the future. Take care all and I will stop by and visit from time to time.
