Exterior trim screws are backing out
Are exterior screws expected to work themselves loose?
While washing 2600RB, I noticed a trim screw (holding a metal strip down the outside at the level of the floor) looked loose. I went down the line with a screw driver and maybe a 1/3 to 1/2 of them needed tightening. One screw is totally missing in the line that holds the side panel of slide out (a side that is inside when retracted)
I tightened them all down. I’m now wondering if I should put a dab of silicone on them like was done on a cargo door frame screw mentioned in another thread.

I have had that happen. When I tighten them, I put a touch of clear silicone and they have not backed out since. Try just a dab. Depending on the materials they screw into loctite is not always an option.
Good Luck!

Seems to always be the case of either too tight so heads pop off or too loose and the screw falls out. I had more of the former. Silicone should do it.
